The Vision Brought to Life
When we launched the Kickstarter campaign for Sonic Revolution 2024, we had one goal: to create an unforgettable, inclusive, safe, and high-energy space where the community could celebrate decades of speed, music, and memories together.
On June 30, 2024, that vision became a reality. The energy in the room was electric from the moment the doors opened. Fans from all over gathered to sold their art and merch, listened on live character panels, and share their collective love for the franchise.
It was during the livestream where the co founders of Sonic Revolution Shayne Thames and Lidice Mendoza cleverly were just talking until the video played to interrupt what they were talking about regarding Sonic Revolution.
During the marketing of both the kickstarter campaign and leading up to the in person event, is where the social media posts were written in character to sonic villains to tell a compelling story and have it all culminate and end at the in person event in a panel upstage.
I helped out with the marketing of the kickstarter campaign from beginning to end of the in person event which helped raised the necessary funds in order to host the in person event.
We reached the stretch goal of $7,000 for the kickstarter and with the increased marketing for the in person event, we were able to fully fund the in person event.
When we reached another stretch goal we would reveal a voice actor of who would be invited to the in person event as well as exclusive merchandise to the audience.
